Wouldn't it be Nice

Verse 1:
Wouldn’t it be nice if we were younger
But we had the tools from the future
We’d be able to end all hunger
Instead of making it just come truer

Wouldn’t it be nice if we were kids again
And had the tools from this century
We’d put an end to all pollutants
And rewrite our own history

Chorus:
A utopia, a daydream
A perfect world, a fantasy
Where people emit love and light
Wouldn’t it be nice

Verse 2:
Wouldn’t it be nice if nobody lied
And everybody loved their competition
That is for the governments to decide
They’re the ones that bring us opposition

Wouldn’t it be nice if we weren’t so sexual
We could focus on what is important
All our knowledge then more conceptual
Then we wouldn’t be so discordant

Chorus:
A utopia, a daydream
A perfect world, a fantasy
Where people emit love and light
Wouldn’t it be nice

Verse 3:
Wouldn’t it be nice if we had power
The question is just how would you use it
I’d turn all the dirt and stones to flowers
To make the days seem more amusing

Wouldn’t it be nice if we could express ourselves
And we could just say what’s on our mind
We wouldn’t have to live up to nobody else
Just let our laughter be the guide

Chorus:
A utopia, a daydream
A perfect world, a fantasy
Where people emit love and light
Wouldn’t it be nice

Verse 4:
Wouldn’t it be nice if we could change a life
Make all the cloudy days seem blue again
Hel p everyone feel the sunshine
And get them to start saying amen

Wouldn’t it be nice if we could change the world
Make this a better place to live
Leave an impression on boys and girls
Show them what’s it like without hatred

Ending
Wouldn’t it be nice
A world emitting love and light
Wouldn’t it be nice
